". . . the mystery was wonderful."

I work on a college campus and I am on a Public Relations Committee and we recently held a Murder Mystery Dinner as a fund raiser for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. We purchased "Death Bemoans Her" and it was a BIG hit. We did the mystery as a stage production and every one really got into their parts! A few members of our committee had been to a murder mystery and thought it would be fun to have one and it was an experiment to see how it would go over on a college campus. We had a sell-out crowd (almost 140 guests!) We even had guests and others that were not able to get a ticket ask when the next one was!

 

We had a "dress rehearsal" and went to our photography services department and had individual pictures taken of each cast member in costume and then I used those photos to create a power point that was running throughout the show. I even had music suitable for each character and it added a little something to the mystery. We even had a handmade crystal ball and had the cast act like they were at the group reading during the introduction.
